Date/Time: September 6th,
2016; 11:00am-12:00pm
Location: Professor Kim’s
home
Topic/Skill: Reading Comprehension
and Grammar Mistakes
Feedback provided to
tutee: Make sure to pay attention of the details in a story. Sometimes PJ would
be reading so fast that he would not remember some of the smaller details just
the big ones.
Lesson(s) about tutoring
and/or the tutee you learned:
I learned that
speed in reading is not always a good thing. When PJ would read faster he would
not retain as much information as when he would read a little slower. I also learned that summarizing main concepts
after every chapter encouraged PJ to really understand everything he read
rather then just speed through a chapter.
