Turky learned what the words hobbies, favorite, and silly are. He learned what questions to ask when you are trying to get to know someone.
With the craziness of Hurricane Hermine we had a built in conversation starter. Turky told me the his power had just came on the day before, Tuesday, whereas I bragged a little bit that mine returned on Saturday. He said he did not go anywhere to flee the storm because it builds good character to wait it out. I asked him if he watched the crazy stressful FSU game on labor day and he tells me that even though he does not watch much TV he went out to a bar and watched it on their screen. He will not go to the game on Saturday even though it is in town because he prefers to watch it than actually be there. We practiced his interview for his upcoming presentation and he asked me many personal questions. He asks a lot of follow up questions and asks me to clarify my vocabulary. He is a fast learner but we still do have times where it may take a few minutes to understand what the other person wants or is asking.
