Today’s tutoring session was a more
relaxed session as Nattaya had been having a very stressful week. Instead of
working from her practice book like we usually do, we engaged in a conversation.
Our topic was work. I gave Nattaya 10 minutes to jot down any notes she had. I
told her she could talk about work from a student perspective or making a
living perspective or even both. For the most part we talked about work as a
student and how difficult it may be for students to balance both work and
school. We also talked about any previous work and how that has affected us
overall. Because Nattaya doesn’t work, I shared my experiences of working while
taking classes and touched on some of the points she had made.
