October 13, Today i met with Elyia at 5. We have started a new routine and i think he is enjoying it. We are reading children's stories, todays was "The Alphabet with Big Bird". This is an interactive reading and coloring book. We read a short story that uses a letter from the alphabet, then it gives him instructions to color, circle or find his way through a maze of pictures with words that begin with a letter sound. I noticed he is having trouble pronouncing words such as "the, their, there, that". I think it is the 'th' sound that he is struggling with. I will try to find a phonics book or worksheet for him next time.
