Feedback provided to tutee: I reminded Turky that he should practice English with his friends too and not to always speak Arabic.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Tutoring is not an easy job. You have to do a lot of long planning and hard work so it can be a bit trying when the tutee comes in with their own plan for the session. Turky had a big composition test in class coming up so he asked for some help. I decided the best way of helping him was to have him write a practice composition and for me to help him correct it and learn from his mistakes. Over the course of the hour, his writing and understanding of the language seemed to have improved. The spontaneity of the situation really helped me feel like an effective tutor. I hope Turky was as satisfied with the lesson as I was.
