I met with Albert, my 2^nd grade tutee for the third time this Wednesday. We used a workbook to have him practice writing out various letters. It was a struggle at times to explain to him that he was writing letters backwards, such as the letter ‘c’. I’m going to learn the Swahili word for backwards and forwards and hopefully he will know what that means next week. Next week I’ll work with flash cards to practice letter identification since he needs to practice that some more.
