On
Friday I had lunch with John. We decided to go eat at the Global Café which was
serving Indian food. Our conversation this week was centered around his
continuing efforts to get into a PhD. program here at FSU. He told me about the
professor and his focus in material sciences. I think he may have had some
difficulties hearing and communicating since the cafeteria was very loud and
full of people. Otherwise we also spoke about my own life and how busy I have
been. He sympathized which was nice and invited me out to a tailgate this next
Saturday before the Clemson game.
After
lunch we went out into the SLC courtyard where I ran into a few of my friends.
I was able to introduce him and see how he interacted with them. I think he was
taken a bit aback and I could tell that he was a bit uncomfortable. I
understand since they were speaking a bit fast. We will still continue speaking since it helps him out very much with his English practice.
