Date/Time: Sunday, October 2nd, 3:00pm.
Location: Strozier Library
Topic/Skill: Speaking
Soongyu's conversational English is already so advanced, sometimes it's hard to find ways to correct little issues without feeling like I've "gone on the attack," grammatically. At this session we talked about quite a few subjects, including the Korean church services here in town, politics in Korea, and Soongyu's future hopes for her family. We got slightly derailed when a friend of hers noticed us sitting outside and came by to say hello, but got right back on track by turning conversation to friendships she's made in the US. Feedback continued to tackle pronouns (which have been an issue when Soongyu speaks quickly on a subject she's interested in) and little things like tacking vowel sounds onto the ends of words ending in consonants.
