Topic: Exam week prepration

I met with Yongbae, my adult tutee, this past Monday 10/3. We were going to go over some things which would help him prepare for his finals this week. We spent a lot of time looking at his second draft for his final essay comparing public sector and private sector jobs. He is a public employee in Korea. There were so many grammatical error corrections on the second draft, which is good for me to see because I would maybe not have known that it was normal for there to be that many grammar corrections even though he is at a beginner English level. The mistakes were interesting for me to help him with. I didn’t always know the answer for why the corrections were correct. Google helped me for those but we both learned a lot about some of the more subtle grammar aspects of English.
