Today
was my final session with Matthew. We once again worked on the Science packets
that he has been receiving from his teacher. Today he was much more focused and
was able to do almost the entire packet with little help or chiding from me. He
told me that he was supposed to go swimming after our session so he probably
was not as tired as usual.
While he was working I was able to
talk to him about more of the real world applications of what he was learning.
The topic for this chapter was bacteria and viruses which are very important to
day to day life even if we do not think about them. It was interesting to read
along with him and re-learn many of the basic concepts surrounding bacteria and
viruses.
Afterwards his mother asked if I could
keep tutoring him, as much as I would love to I do not have the time. I
informed her that if next semester I do find that I am slightly more available
I would contact her.
