Tutee: Mohammad
Strozier Library

Today I met with Mohammad for the first time. Mohammad is my adult tutee and he is from Kuwait. I was beginning to get a little worried because he had not texted me to set up a meeting this semester. He actually texted me as I was talking to Dr. Kim about setting up a time with a new tutee. I met him right after class and I have to admit I was a little anxious about meeting him because I was not prepared at all. I met him in front of Strozier and I recognized him as one of the students who was in Vicky Golen's class when I observed. It was a really difficult tutoring session. He need help with some work from his composition(?) class. He was learning about word parts and I had not studied word parts since high school. I do not think I was much of a help to him, but I tried to help him memorize some of the prefixes and suffixes he was learning. Overall it was a rough start to tutoring and I hope to be better prepared next week. I did give myself a little grace because it was so short notice but I know to do better next time.
