On Tuesday October 11, I met with my
new tutee Hamed. I started the session by getting to know Hamed and what he
struggled most with. Hamed is from Saudi Arabia and has lived in Tallahassee
for one year. I asked him how he liked living here, and he said that it’s very
similar to the town he lived in. After talking a bit about where he was from, I
asked him what he needed the most help on. He told me that he had the most
trouble with prepositions and distinguishing between gerunds and infinitives.
For the remainder of the session, I helped him with the prepositions “to” and “for”.
We went over some sample sentences and practice.
