Mohammad is preparing for his final exams in his CIES class so he was really nervous. Together we studied some verb conjugations he was having trouble with, specifically past perfect and past perfect continuous. For the most part he understood when to use the two tenses but he often got the two confused. He had some worksheets that helped him with these concepts and we went over them and then I drilled him on the different forms of the verbs. By the end of the lesson he showed that he could use both tenses well. I did have to reiterate the difference between a gerund and a participle, which confused him a little but it was most important that he understood was a participle was. He agreed to share his final exam with me after it was graded so that we could review his mistakes. I am planning on giving him a diagnostic test next week in time for the new session.
