Tutee: Mohammad
Strozier Library
Today I helped Mohammad with complex sentences and compound sentences. He had homework he needed to do for his composition class that dealt with compounds. I was lucky because the printer in Strozier was down so I did not have anything printed out for us to work on. I had trouble remembering what exactly qualified a sentence as "complex", but Mohammad and I figured it out together. Mohammad is really good at picking up new grammar points, but sometimes he takes the easy way in his writing. He may write the type of sentence over and over again and his writing can get really repetitive. I have to find a way to challenge him in his writing. We also discussed topic sentences in paragraphs, but we did not have time to explore this topic thoroughly.
