Lauren TS#2
This session I decided to focus on the high
frequency words my tutee was going to be tested on later in the week. The words were some of the similar words that
my tutee struggled to say during our first session: she, was, is, he. I found a YouTube video for each of the
words. The videos used the words in
song. It would spell out the word and
say the word several times throughout.
My tutee enjoyed listening to the music in the videos and was
enthusiastic when it came to spelling or saying the word along with the
song. Some of the videos also used the
words in sentences, which encouraged the listener to also repeat. This was a great way to incorporate extra
practice using the words in sentences. I also noticed my tutee had less of a
difficult time when repeating the sentences in song form.
