Today I Skyped with Dojun. It was a good session, we talked about the drinking culture in South Korea, because I brought up how yesterday I learned that South Korea is the country that drinks the most alcohol. He did not know about that either- that they were number one. He was very surprised to learn that fact, but found it funny. He said the alcohol content went down, and that a long time ago the most popular alcohol- soju- used to be more alcoholic. We also talked about the work space. I asked about the education system there, and he told me about the exams that students have to take to get into universities there. He said that there is a part of the test that is listening, and that on that exam day airplanes do not fly. I think that is amazing, but also it sucks that there is only one exam day a year. If anyone misses it or does not do well, they would have to wait until the next year.
