Topic: Discussing going to Islands of Adventure/Halloween

When I met with Yongbae, he only brought a map of Islands of Adventure with him since class was on break for him. He’s planning to take his family there this weekend. We talked about the different rides to go on and a little about Harry Potter World, which his daughter is excited to see. I asked him if he was going for Halloween Horror Nights, and he said that in Korean culture they are not too keen on spooking themselves out for fun. Apparently they do have many pumpkin dishes all year around though. On the subject of food for special occasions I found out that Koreans have rice cake as opposed to American-style birthday cakes on their birthdays.
