Today I met with Deniz. It was a good meeting. I told him about the professor I work with and how his wife is looking for someone that knows Turkish for translation purposes. I asked him if he would be interested in that, and I ended up emailing her his information. It would be pretty col if they actually started working together because of me. On Thursday I went to the presentation for China at the Hecht house, and although we didn't get to Skype with the person we were expecting to, I learned that there is a 3-month summer program in Turkey where they take TEFL teachers, and I told Deniz about this because I am definitely interested in participating in this. He said that he will be in Turkey over the summer and that if I do take part in the program then he can show me around and help me figure things out. It is a very exciting possibility!
