Today we went
over more homework that P.J.’s teacher reassigned to him. This homework was
about the 2016 presidential election. PJ was not every familiar with this topic
and had difficulty understanding what the article was talking about. I decided
(per recommendation by Professor Kim) to find a YouTube video that would give
PJ some background information about the topic before reading the passage
again. After watch the YouTube video and rereading the article PJ used the
skills we went over last session to try and answer the questions he got wrong.
Overall PJ seemed more familiar and comfortable with the information he read in
the article.
