Richard CP #1

This was my first time meeting with my conversation partner Jay and we meet at the Union on campus. We first discussed each other’s backgrounds and I learned he had come to the U.S. from Korea within the past 2 or 3 years to study educational planning and is the graduate program at Florida State for it. We had lunch together at the union and he told me that it was a good amount more expensive than it would have been to have lunch at a university in Korea. He also told me that he really enjoyed the American style of cuisine with more fried foods which is unlike Korea, he said foods were more generally steamed, boiled, or some other fashion other than fried. We talked about baseball and it was interesting to get his opinions and perspectives on these topics because Korea is the country I’m most interested in teaching in.
