Danielle CP#1

On 9/8, I met with Vicky for the first time. She is from China and has a master's degree in accounting. However, she wants to work here in the United States and since her degree isn't valid here, she's learning English so she can puruse a master's in accounting at Florida State. We went out to lunch at Spear It and spent the hour discussing ourselves and getting to know each other. She educated me on Hong Kong and Taiwan and the relations between them and China and how people in each region view the territory/independent state situation. I learned that she is married and her husband is also living in Tallahassee. She's very friendly and outgoing and asked me several questions about the English language and how to say certain things that she wasn't familiar with. We got along really well. She's been living in Tallahassee for only two months, but she said that she likes it here even though the food is very different from back home.
