My conversation partner is from Kuwait, his name is Fahad. I was born there, so I'm guessing that is why we were partnered. His english skills are fairly low. I often didn't even know that he wasn't understanding what I said. In the first 30 minutes, I said multiple times that I was born in Kuwait, and that my family lived there for a while, and at about minute 45 he pulled out his translator and translated the question "Where were you born". It was definitely an interesting meeting. I can tell he really wants to improve his english, he kept feeling bad that he could not speak better english. I do not think I will have issues getting him to meet me, though I have applied for more conversation partners anyway. He was also very interested in cars and laptops. He wants to buy a car, but he does not know how to drive yet. HE also wants to buy a macbook, and was asking about whether the FSU bookstore would be able to put Arabic keys on his one if he bought it there. We will meet again next week.
